Three luxury vinyl flooring styles to consider
Ever dream of having a bath in the atmosphere of a high-end spa? That's a big trend these days. With luxury vinyl's marble looks, you can easily accomplish that goal.
What about a house with a country cabin wood look? Or maybe a retro-style kitchen or playroom?
Guess what! You can also have that with all the wood and tile looks.
This vinyl is cut into planks or squares. Luxury vinyl plank refers to the material being cut to mimic hardwood floorboards.
Vinyl plank: Amazingly realistic wood looks
Like all luxury vinyl, these images are taken with high-definition photography; you'll see knots, grains, and swirls.
Embossing and micro beveling give the floors depth, dimension, textures, and finishes. Since it follows all the trends, you can get any wood look– gray, whitewashed, maple, oak, Brazilian cherry, teak, or more.
Textures: the finishing touch on a wood floor
Textures include brushed, hand scraped, and distressed. Embossed-in-Register refers to indentations that match those of the image.
Stone and tile looks
Tile-sized squares, called luxury vinyl tile, are often used for stone and tile looks. You aren't limited as to how you use any form, however.
Marble floors are trending hot in bathrooms. Other stones, like travertine, slate, granite, and more, are all available with LVF.
They come with vivid veining and color variations, textures, and finishes. Yet, these stone echoes have all the "imperfections" of Mother Nature's creations.
Tile pieces can be mixed and matched. They include bold, bright colors and patterns such as herringbone, chevron, geometrics, hexagons, circles, fauna, flora, etc.
Also referred to as LVP and LVT, these are ultra-durable, 100% waterproof, and easy to care for. Installation is uncomplicated and can be glued or installed as a floating floor.
